Step One: Read the specific advice below
A career page which talks about your business, using ‘our’ and ‘we’, and has no clear and obvious benefits to a potential candidate, might make it harder for you to attract high performers.
High performers want to see how their work is going to impact themselves and the business in equal measure. Start by writing out what you think are the main benefits of working at Gas Measurement Instruments, and make it specific to you. Or, survey your staff and ask them what they think is the biggest benefit of working in the business.
For example, as a headline on your career page:
“From David Hunter, Managing Director: We surveyed our employees, and they said the biggest benefit to working at GMI was the culture of continuous learning. They felt it kept them interested and challenged.”
